The Bible is Still the Same

Yet it is easier for heaven to pass away than for one dot in the law to fail and become void. Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries a woman who is divorced from her husband commits adultery. Luke 16:17,18

Today divorce is now as bad inside the church, as outside and so is the desire to 'move on' and find someone new. Over the past 10-29 years there has been a slide away from truth in marriage, to the gospel of self. Yet, here, Jesus is saying, the law is still the law and being 'saved' does not whitewash the sin, it amplifies it.

It is interesting that Jesus states the above after dealing with the love of money and how we cannot love two masters. He must have had good reason. Perhaps there was a need for someone to hear it. I know a who,e lot of someone's who need to hear it and refuse and call me harsh and out of date.

Jesus wants our hearts. If He has our hearts we will be less inclined to be selfish and want to write our own rules. Give Him your heart and see what He can do with someone who is committed to Him. You will be surprised.
