The Narrow Road

He went on His way through towns and villages, teaching, and journeying towards Jerusalem. And some one said to Him, "Lord, will those who are saved be few?" And He said to them, "Strive to enter by the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will seek to enter and will not be able." Luke 13:22-24

The key to entry is a willing to find the narrow door. Jesus elsewhere tells us that narrow is the road to life and wide is the road to destruction. Those on the road to destruction are seeking eternal life just the same but want it on their own terms, with all the trimmings they believe is their right.

However, the narrow road is on the Lord's terms, trusting for the trimmings He wants to give. The many assume that He is miserly and won't give but if they control the ride, they get the much. However, I can tell you this is wrong. Those who trust the Lord and seek His face have benefits that many would die for. The first being His face.

I have just had a God controlled holiday. Never could I have orchestrated such a dove tailed holiday with so many people wanting to bless me. I had three mini holidays with three different lots of people and all of them were fantastic. I dived in the most beautiful freshwater pond I had ever seen, visited parts of South Australia I had never heard about, learned about harvesting grapes and almonds and so much more. Best of all I gave all I had in Christ to all I spent time with.

I would never have planned the holiday God gave me, I am looking forward to this year with Him in the driver's seat. The ride has begun!
