The Mob

Two of the other criminals were also led away to be executed with Him. When they arrived at the place called The Skull, they crucified Him there, along with the criminals, one on the right and one on the left. Then Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, because they do not know what they are doing." And they divided His clothes and cast lots.
The people stood watching, and even the leaders kept scoffing. He saves others; let Him save Himself if this is God's Messiah, the Chosen One!" The soldiers also mocked Him. They came offering Him sour wine and said, "If you are the King of the Jews, save Yourself!"
An inscription was above Him:
This is the King of the Jews. Luke 23:32-39

We see Jesus, amidst a bioling caldron of human being filled with the flesh and all manner of evil, yet Jesus kept His focus and went to the cross for us. He even prays for them: "Father forgive them, for they know not what they do." Why did He pray that? I suggest He saw these people manipulated by evil, driven by a mob frenzy and totally unable to see the truth, therefore He had mercy.

At times we will find ourselves here, well, not quite. I pray we don't face crucifixion but we will face the mob. At times the heat is poured out upon those we attempt to aid and they turn into animals, they can't see it and are carried along by a tide of evil. They are manipulated by evil because they have no insight. If we could see in the spirit we would see a huge spiritual onslaught by the demons of hell, they so confuse, harass and create turmoil that sensibility is gone.

Jesus was ready for this time. It is important to be ready and filled with the Spirit of God. In a bushfire, a house that is thoroughly drenched with water cannot be ignited. We will not necessarily have insight as to when these events will happen and therefore always being ready is important. The enemy wants our focus, our heart. We can't give it away because of a bit of heat and opposition. Soak in Him and fill yourself with Him. Amen!
