The Redemption
Yet the Lord was pleased to crush Him severely. When You make Him a restitution offering, He will see His seed, He will prolong His days, and by His hand, the Lord's pleasure will be accomplished. He will see out of His anguish, and He will be satisfied with His knowledge. 'My righteous Servant will justify many, and He will carry their iniquities. Therefore I will give Him the many as a portion, and He will receive a mighty spoil, because He submitted Himself to death, and was counted among the rebels; yet ahe bore the sins of many and interceded for the rebels.' Isaiah 53:10-12
Oh how lost we would be without this saviour! Our world is a boiling caldron of sinful humanity, rushing from one lust to the next, caught in a world of flesh. Who will deliver us from this mess? I hear voices of those caught in this fleshly mess, devoid of the Spirit, destined to March to the drum of the destroyer. An empty life, desperately needing a breath of life, not knowing whence it comes.
Yet, into this mess came the light of men, but they did not receive Him as the light. Still He came to set them free. In His death on the cross He made a way to be free, free from the death march, free to live in the Spirit of life. The apostle Paul writes: the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:2)
If we merely exist on this earth, we die in our sins, but if we turn to Him and invite Him in we live. We must live out of His Spirit, not the spirit of death to truely live. Amen!
The above prophesy tells us that Jesus, being the righteous servant, will justify many. He, and He alone is the source of life, He and He alone has given us the way of life, because He submitted to death on a cross, on our behalf. I am free from the penalty of sin as I walk in Him.
Yesterday as I went to church I was met by a Christian lady who was caught in the flesh, looked bound and had no life to offer. What causes her to be caught? A mindset? A behaviour? Every Sunday she is caught there. I think it is a cage of mistaken belief she is a sacrificial lamb serving at church, yet she is free, Jesus was the sacrificial lamb, she can walk in the freedom He brings.
We, the Christians, can be caught in traps set by the enemy, mindsets generally. When we are caught in traps we are taken out of useful service, we need to again receive our freedom to be of use to the kingdom of God. We need to walk in the life our Saviour won for us, that life paid for by His precious blood, courses with energy, abundance, life. Choose life and live!
