Caught!

Meanwhile, Saul was still breathing threats against the disciples of the Lord. He went to the high priest and requested letters from him to the synagogue in Damascus, so that if he found any men or women who belonged to the Way, he might bring them as prisoners to Jerusalem. As he travelled and was nearing Damascus, a light from heaven suddenly flashed around him. Falling to the ground, he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?"
"Who are You Lord?" He said.
"I am Jesus, the One you are persecuting," He replied. "But get up and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do." Acts 9:1-6

Saul did not heed Gamaliel's words. Considering Gamaliel's was his teacher, I wonder what went wrong. Gamaliel had warned the Sanhedrin to be careful not to persecute the believers because they might find themselves opposing God.

Now, imagine God knocks you off your feet and you hear Him say the same thing, how would that be. "Oops! I am in trouble now, God has showed up!" Scripture goes on the say Saul ate nor drank anything for three days, I wonder how deep his shock and horror was. "God actually spoke to me, and it was not because I was behaving, I actually stepped on His toes. I wonder if I am going to prison? Will He kill me?"

Saul was a Pharisee of all Pharisees. He was religion plus, yet he has been apprehended. Isn't God good! Now God was going to do a number on him and he would be so changed, so vastly changed.

If God can do it to Saul, He can do it to anyone, even you!
