Moves of God
A Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law, who was respected by all the people, stood up in the Sanhedrin and ordered the men be taken outside for a little while. Then he said to them, "Men of Israel, be careful about what you are going to do to these men.... And now I tell you, stay away from these men and leave them alone. For if a plan or this work is of men, it will be overthrown; but if it is from God, you will not be able to overthrow them. You may be found fighting against God." Acts 5:34;38,39
This is good advice. We see many so called 'moves of God,' in various places. If they are 'moves of God,' and they are genuine why be found opposing what God has ordained.
Through the years, in more recent times, there have been moves of God and there have been various manifestations of the Holy Spirit. Some were quite bizarre. Yes some people fall for anything, but where the Spirit of God moves unusual things can happen. They are not always decent and in order.
The Spirit of the Lord is a Spirit of Freedom, when that touches your life, something happens. I tend to laugh. Laughter is good!
I wonder what the next outpouring will bring? I pray I embrace it and not be found opposing it. Amen!
