Does God Show Wrath in the NT?
For the wrath of God is revealed against all godlessness and unrighteousness of people who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth, since what can be know about God is evident among them, because God has shown it to them. For Hus invisible attributes, that is, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen since the creation of the world, being understood throug what He has made. As a result people are without an excuse. Romans 1:18-20
To tell people that God does not have wrath or revulsion for sin is courting disaster. That is like saying God sits in the corner and asks us to beat Him. Yes He is gracious and long suffering but the sin we do carries a cost. He still seeks us and gives us ways to repent but if we keep throwing it back in His face, when is enoug enough?
Every seed that is sown bears fruit: you sow bad seed, you still get a bad harvest; conversely you sow good seed you get a good crop. As I look back in my life. Know why I reaped certain harvests, I've sown the wrong seed. Yet, God still forgave me and sought me, for that I am truly grateful. He is merciful in that He is still there for us and when we turn He runs to us. Praise Him! Amen!
Much like the prodigal son story! He is good, kind, righteous and forgiving. Amen!
