God Overrules

The soldiers' plan was to kill the prisoners so that none could swim awa and escape. But the centurion kept them from carrying out their plan because he wanted to save Paul, so he ordered those who could swim to jump overboard first and get to land. The rest were to follow, some on planks and some on debris from the ship. In this way, everyone safely reached the shore. Acts 27:42-44

Paul had previously told everybody that they would all be saved, yet here were the soldiers, resorting to standard protocol and wanting to kill all the prisoners. Fortunately God intervened by using the commander to halt the plan.

I am currently having to look at selling my client base as the lender wants the money. I have had a good response and thought that a certain amount was all I would get, but tonight my son called and said, "No, don't undersell yourself, you should get a whole lot more." I am not greedy, but bartering for myself is not my strong suit. I have to decide if I want my son to become involved and let the wheeling and dealing take place or I take a lesser amount. Now, yesterday I thought I would be selling for a lesser amount because that is all the company was offering me. Has God intervened? He may well have. However, I am going to have to trust Him for the right amount, I pray He gives me an amount and then I will be secure from wheelers and dealers.

Tonight I was praying and telling the Lord how naieve I felt, in fact I have had that label put on me before. Yet, when God is in the mix and He gives me His word, I am secure, naieve or not. Amen!
