Good Soil

Then Paul entered the synagogue and spoke boldly over a period of three months, engaging in discussion and trying to persuade them about things of the kingdom of God. But when some became hardened and would not believe, slandering the Way in front of the crowd, he withdrew from them and met separately with the disciples, conducting discussions every day in the lecture hall of Tyranus. And this went on for two years, so that the inhabitants of Asia, both Jews and Greeks, heard the message about the Lord. Acts 19:8-10

It is important to know when to walk away. It is important to know when to speak and it is important to know how to handle the in betweens.

I have persevered with a particular lady for a period of time and she is hard, for a time she started to soften but now she is hardening up. I sense the time to go is coming. There is a place I would rather be among those the hand of the Lord is upon. I will pray some more and see how she responds.

Tomorrow I go bushwalking with someone new. I wonder what God has in store? I am constantly looking for open doors, paths that lead to where He is moving. I imagine that Ephesus was a source of blessing to Paul, here he was seeing results. He had travelled through the inland way to get to Ephesus and once there there were more who were open than closed.

Tonight I started a connect group, it begins again. A few simple souls and a big God! Let's see what God can do!
