Judges are Without Excuse
Therefore, any one of you who judges is without excuse. For when you judge another, you condemn yourself, since you, the judge, so the same things.
We know that God's judgement on those who do such things is based on truth.
Do you really think- anyone who judges who do such things yet do the same- that you will escape God's judgement?
Or do you despise the riches of His kindness, restraint, and patience, not recognising, that God's kindness is intended to lead you to repentance?
But because of your hardness and unrepentant heart you are storing up wrath for yourself in the day of wrath, when God's righteous judgement is revealed.
He will repay to each one according to his work: eternal life to those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honour, and immortality; but wrath and indignation to those who are self-seeking and disobey the truth but are obeying unrighteousness; affliction and distress for every human being who does evil, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek; but glory, honour, and peace for everyone who does what is good, first to the Jew, and also to the Greek. There is no favouritism with God. Romans 2:1-11
There you have it! When we judge we are judged. There is no platform for us to judge. It is not our place, it belongs to God alone. When we judge, we take his throne- He does not give us this option. Therefore we set up small thrones before His throne and pass judgement and therefore any judgement God would have of a situation comes directly to us, as we are in the way. This Si why some are sick and die prematurely.
God does not show favouritism, as the Jews supposed. They thought God viewed them as elite, above the heathen. This is why they were prone to judge the heathen. Yet Paul is saying we are all the same.
I watched an address by the son of Hamas to the Jewish media, he has become a Christian. He stated that the problem for the Arabs is their belief system. They are not alone. Each of us, when we set up a throne in our own world, are guilty of the same sin, the same deception.
All of us, whether great or small, must have our eyes on Jesus, He alone is the author and finisher of our faith. He himself did not judge but sacrificed His own life to redeem us from our sin. He is the example to follow. Amen!
