Purposes
There was an estate near by that belonged to Publius, the chief official of the Island. He welcomed us to his home and for three days entertained us hospitbably. His father was sick in bed, suffering from fever and dysentery. Paul went in to see him and, after praying, placed his hands on him and healed him. When this had happened, the rest of the sick on the island came and were cured. They honoured us in many ways and when we were ready to leave, they furnished us with the supplies we needed. Acts 28:7-9
These people needed Paul to visit, not only were the sick healed but, although it is not mentioned, I am sure the gospel was preached.
This morning my day started at 4am. The eldest grandson was sick. Over an hour he travailed, I prayed for him, gave him a drink and he vomited, feeling better. Needless to say the rest of the children were disturbed and we will all need an early night tonight.
We have a full day to fill and my prayer is that the Lord goes before me, empowers me, enables me and keeps everyone else well. My prayer is that my grandchildren know Jesus better before I leave. Amen!
