The Plot

The following night, the Lord stood by him and said, "Have courage! For as you have testified about Me in Jerusalem, so you must also testify in Rome."
When it was day the Jews formed a conspiracy and bound themselves under a curse: neither to eat or drink until they had killed Paul. There were more than 40 who had formed this plot.
But the son of Paul's sister, hearing about their ambush, came and entered the barracks and reported to Paul. Acts 23:11-13;16

The enemy can cut themselves, turn inside out and die stupidly by laying curses upon themselves all because of hatred. These men would not be able to fulfill their vow, because it was not motivated by God. God had appeared to Paul to encourage him, His will would be done.

When Paul's nephew reports to Paul, Paul sends for the commander who takes it seriously and arranges for Paul to be escorted to Caesarea to Felixstowe the governor. Paul was on his way, just as the Lord said he would be, at Rome's expense.

The same spirit that was upon these zealous Jews is alive in the world and it overtakes sane men and women and they kill for thei beliefs, but God is still God. We can trust Him for His plan. Keep you eyes on Jesus! Amen!
