Welcome the New

Let t be know to you that the saving work has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen!
Then he stayed two whole years in his own rented house. And he welcomed all who visited him proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching the things concerning the Lord Jesus Christ with full boldness and without hindrance. Acts 28:28; 30,31

The Jews who had been prepared as a recipticle for the gospel rejected it. The clay told the potter where to go and that it knew better than he did their future. How sad!

Today, the church must not turn its back on the fullness of the gospel or the Lord will take the candlestick elsewhere. We cannot insist we know better than our creator.

Today I was delighted to find out that my new neighbours are family relations who I have not seen in a long while and whom I am going to enjoy getting to know again. I rejoice they have come and welcome the new along with them. As they are building I have offered my home as a clean rest and toilet break if they need it. I know they have small children and my family are planning on visiting more often.

When I first returned to Tamworth my first cousins did not want to spend time with me, they were busy in their own worlds. I cannot be too busy for the new, perhaps God is in the new (I know He is). Always, always be open to the new. Amen!
