All Glory!

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God!
How unsearchable His judgements and untraceable His ways!
For who has known the mind of the Lord?
Or who has been his counsellor?
Or who has ever first given to Him, and has been betrayed?
For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things.
To Him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:33-36

I don't know about you, but personally, I am constantly betrayed and disappointed by my fellow mankind. This is because they are not God, they are imperfect and flawed. Yet it still hurts and the barbs go deep, but I will recover as I hide myself in the shadow of His wings.

He is ever faithful. The times I am disappointed in Him are the times I have allowed myself to run ahead and make erroneous judgements. As I return and stay close all is well.

The only way to heal is under His wings, not having pity parties or roasting parties. Being alone under His wings is quiet, but if I quieten my heart, I heal quicker and more thoroughly than if I refuse to face the issue and run around busy. Yes the quiet is scary, but best. Amen!

To him be all glory! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
