Fruit of Righteousness

For when you were  slaves of sin, you were free from allegiance to righteousness. So, what fruit was produced then from the things you are now ashamed of? For the end of those things is death. But now, since you have been liberated from sin and have become enslaved to God, you have your fruit, which results in sanctification (holiness)- and the end is eternal life! 
For, the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus us our Lord. Romans 6:20-23

Can you see the treasure? The fruit of righteousness results in sanctification (holiness). As I resist sin and the lust in my flesh, I produce fruit of righteousness and receive the reward, sanctification. Amen!

Sin stands in the way of righteousness and hinders sanctification. If we yield to the lusts of our flesh, then we are slaves to our flesh and Satan laughs. "Look at those stupid Christians,  they have no power because they won't say no to themselves." As I please myself and my emotions I distance myself from God, His grace and His holiness. I don't see God because Jesus Himself said, "The pure in heart see God!" If I am living an impure life, I don't see God and don't live a life of faith but rather a life of flesh. Amen!

Take the yoke of Christ, bind yourself to Him and walk with Him! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
