Therefore- Rejoice
Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have also obtained access through Him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
And not only that, but we also rejoice in our afflictions, because we know that affliction produces endurance, endurance produces proven character, and proven character produces hope.
This hope will not disappoint us, because God's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Romans 5:1-5
Look at all the 'power words.' Declared righteous, faith, peace, access, grace, hope.
As I use my faith, I am declared righteous. It takes faith to believe in Jesus and to walk in Him.
As I am in a him, I have peace! Ah! Peace!
I have access to grace. God's empowering grace, gentle, forgiving, empowering grace!
I stand in the hope of His glory. As I walk in him His glory shines through! Amen!
Now, it gets interesting- I can rejoice in affliction.... Because, I know that: affliction produces endurance; endurance produces proven character (that means I am a woman of character), and, proven character produces hope.
How is my character proven? Through afflictions that are born with endurance. YuK! Yes I know! We don't like that idea, but hey! Afflictions are everywhere! "Be of good cheer," said Jesus, "For I have overcome the world!"
