Walk in the Spirit!

Therefore, no condemnation now exists for those in Christ Jesus, because the Spirit's law of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death. What the law could not do, since it was limited by the flesh, God did. He condemned sin in the flesh by sending His own Son in flesh like ours under sin's domain, and as a sin offering, in order that the law requirement would be accomplished in us who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

For those who live according to the flesh think about things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit think about things of the Spirit.

For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.

For the mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit itself to God's law, for it is unable to do so.

Those who are of the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8:1-8

I have a choice then: walk in the Spirit and be free from condemnation because Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death; walk in the appetites of the flesh and be bound in sin and death and not able to please God.

Walking in the Spirit dos not give room for pride, arrogance, selfishness, rudeness, self-righteousness, anger, malice, envy etc. at each junction we are given a choice, will I follow my ego, my lusts, my fleshly passions and walk in self-righteousness or will I humble myself and submit to God? I assure you as you submit to God you see His goodness in the land of the living; His grace, His empowerment, His favour, His presence. The presence of God is better than a flash of self-righteousness and selfishness. Both bear fruit, one fruit dies on the vine, the other flourishes and feeds many. Amen!

Pleasing self might satisfy for a time but emptiness follows, the alternative is better as it brings the presence of God.
