What Can We Say?

What then are we to say about these things? If God is for us, who is against us? He did not even spare His own Son but offered Him up for us all;
How will He not also with Him grant us everything?
Who can bring an accusation against God's elect?
God is the One who justifies. Who is the one who condemns?
Christ Jesus is the One who died, but even more, has been raised;
He also is at the right hand of God and intercedes for us.
Who can separate us from the love of Christ? Romans 8:31-35

The first verse here is probably the only one my mother knows off by heart. This scripture has taken her through cancer twice and she still lives. Whenever sickness knocks this is her mantra.

You might say my mother is a living testimony of the faithfulness of God to His word, many a night she would be challenged by fear of dying a horrible death and many a night this scripture pulled her through. She is going strong at 84.

The Father gave us His Son, He gave Him up to death on a cross for us, us who cursed Him and refused Him, He did it anyway in hope, that we would turn to Him and accept His gift and come into fellowship with Him. Now, that is faith!

Who is it who accuses? Definitely not God. Yes we see people bad mouthing one another but who is running that side show? Satan of course. He is the master accuser.

When you hear someone accusing and putting down someone else, refuse to listen. Challenge the confession, speak well of the person. Challenge the accuser to pray for their enemy. That should silence them.

Lastly we have another intercessor, Jesus Christ. We already know the Holy Spirit intercedes for us with groaning to deep for words, now we know the Son intercedes for us. How blessed are we!

The best thing we can do for others, is to seek God's heart for our enemies and intercede for them. That fixes them and our attitude. Go for it!
