Moral Failure

To have legal disputes against one another is already moral failure for you. Why not rather put up with injustice? Why not rather be cheated? Instead, you act unjustly and cheat-and you do this to believers! Don't you know that the unrighteous will not inherit God's kingdom? Do not be deceived: no sexually immoral people, idolaters, adulterers, or anyone practising homosexuality, no thieves, greedy people, drunkards, verbally abusive people, or swindlers will inherit God's kingdom. And some of you used to be like this. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justifies in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God. 1Cor 6:7-11

Behaving like we are not washed is a slap in the face to our redeemer. He paid the ultimate sacrifice for us to be redeemed. The challenge is working out what is right between us, together. Not allowing anger, frustration, indignation, arrogance and pride to rule is a must. We are not used to seeking righteousness in disputes, we may only have our corrupt past to lean on in experience and therefore we must learn to lean into Christ and learn from Him.

I find when my heart becomes self-righteous, I am going the wrong way, when my mind is clouded with thoughts of wrongdoing, I am in the wrong place. Constantly I must come back to Christ. This is a new process for me, and it will be for you, but allowing Christ to rule is imperative. His outcome brings glory and freedom, miracles are here.

We cannot allow rage and indignation to rule, we must take our hearts to Christ and find our hope in Him. This is the challenge, but also the answer. Amen!
