Slave to the Gospel

For if I preach the gospel, I have no reason to boast, because an obligation is placed on me. And woe to me if I do not preach the gospel! For if I do this willingly, I have a reward, but if unwillingly, I am entrusted with a stewardship. what then is my reward? To preach the gospel and offer it free of charge and not make full use of my authority in the gospel.
Although I am a free man and not anyone's slave, I have made myself a slave to everyone, in order to win more people.1Cor 9: 16-19

Paul did not choose missions, God chose him. Yet Paul walked into that calling willingly and therefore his reward was one marked by God.

Walking in our calling, willingly brings a reward. Being a minister of the gospel carries a great reward. There is no greater joy than watching a lost soul come to Christ. It brings back memories of my finding freedom, oh what joy!

Paul chose to make himself a slave, he willingly submitted to God's plan. I am willingly submitted to God's plan. There was a time Jesus said to Paul: "Why do you kick against the goads?" There was a time I was not submitted. yet when I found Christ I willingly submitted to His ways. His ways are best.
