What Love is This?

Love never ends. But as for prophesies, they will come to an end; as for languages, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will come to an end. For we know in part, and we prophesy in part. But when the perfect comes, the partial will come to an end. 1Cor 13:8-10
 
As I read this I think: but we know love comes to an end, we fall out, move on and do away with old relationships, yet how can 'love never end?'
 
Now, if God's love never ends, we know nothing. Really we know nothing. In all we know on this earth, the cleverest of us all would have to say: "I don't know this love! My love fails me."
 
If love should never end, then we need to find this love so that we can love above all, through trial, through persecution, through unfairness, through drought, through prosperity. What is this love like? Verses 4-7 tells us. it is patient and kind, not puffed up with self, forgets all wrongs, rejoices in truth, it bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. In other words, it can't be worn out, never, ever!
 
Would you agree we know not this love? Trial and persecution wear us out, we run out of love. How can I never run out of love? I am glad you asked. You partner with the One who has it in abundance. I mean become one with the One, married to the One. You mean such a relationship exists? It does!
 
Are you ready? Invite Jesus Christ into your life, ask Him to be Lord and forgive you for doing things the wrong way, without love, and He will give you His Holy Spirit. Next get to know Him, find people who know Him and can lead you, stay connected to them, start talking to your new friend Jesus and begin to read His word to you, the bible, find one you understand.

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
