Be Strengthened by The Lord
Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and by His vast strength. Put on the full armor of God so that you can stand against the tactics of the Devil. For our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world powers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens. This is why you must take up the full armor of God, so that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and having prepared everything, to take your stand. Stand, therefore, with truth like a belt around your waist, righteousness like armor on your chest, and your feet sandaled with readiness for the gospel of peace. In every situation take the shield of faith, and with it you will be able to extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is God’s word. Pray at all times in the Spirit with every prayer and request, and stay alert in this with all perseverance and intercession for all the saints.
Ephesians 6:10-18 HCSB
Finally, be strengthened. Our God wants to strengthen us. We cannot strengthen ourselves on exercise alone. Exercise builds up our body. Our spirit needs strengthening, as does our soul. We have the word of God, podcasts, on-line platforms can all be filled with edifying food, but best of all, we can spend quality time with our God. There is nothing like His presence. Amen!
Paul gives us the breakdown of what God gives us: a belt of truth around our waists, righteousness as a breadtplate, shoes of the gospel, the sword of the Spirit, the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation- this helps with out thought life.
These all tells us our participation in this walk as a Christian. God is my truth, He is my righteousness, His word about me is my sword, I must be prepared to share these truths by being ready to go, I must choose faith to quench the lies of the enemy, not living in my own doubt. I choose to fill my mind with the gospel and not waste time watching worldly trash that tears it down.
Above all, i must stand, in position, as a soldier of Christ. I don't have the luxury of wasting time being places I should not be. Amen!
