Behaviour of the Wise

Who is wise and has understanding among you? He should show his works by good conduct with wisdom’s gentleness. But if you have bitter envy and selfish ambition in your heart, don’t brag and deny the truth. Such wisdom does not come from above but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where envy and selfish ambition exist, there is disorder and every kind of evil. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peace-loving, gentle, compliant, full of mercy and good fruits, without favoritism and hypocrisy.

What does a bitter, selfish spirit look like? I saw one manifest itself only a few nights ago. It sought to take over the meeting I was in and poured for condemnaruon of fellow christians and bemoaning self. I started to pray as I was not in charge of the meeting and knew it had to be confronted. As i waited, it was dealt with and I was involved in the outcome as an example. The woman who confronted the spirit was a mature Christian and she did it delicately but soundly.

Bitterness in a Christian is shameful. A christian's role is to pour out only One Spirit- the Holy Spirit. Whenever we pour out the Holy Spirit we pour out grace and gentleness. A leader who does not have grace is sadly lacking. God's church needs to be full of grace and mercy, pure and peaceable.

There is only one solution- the come in repentance before God and allow Him to deliver, cleanse and make whole. He is good and reliable and only gives good gifts. Amen! If you experience such bad behaviour, pray and dont condemn or you are no better.
