False Doctrine


Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to determine if they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. This is how you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God. But every spirit who does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist; you have heard that he is coming, and he is already in the world now. You are from God, little children, and you have conquered them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. They are from the world. Therefore what they say is from the world, and the world listens to them. We are from God. Anyone who knows God listens to us; anyone who is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of deception.

This scripture is so important, especially today. The church in the west is swallowing up the doctrine that condones homosexual marriage. This is a hard one, as all believers want to love what God loves and discerning His stance on homosexuality on the grounds of love is difficult. When we come to a difficult patch we need to go to the word of God- what does it say? When i find what it says, I need to stay there and ask for revelation and an understanding as to what the writer was inspired by God to write.

The bible has a stance on all important issues and if we are in love with the author more than anyone else, we will listen to it. When we love the Lord our God with our heart, soul and mind- His word comes first and we say HE is our God, not our emotions, not our friends and family. When we make Him alone God, we honour Him and place Him above all lies. Amen!

Any other 'feeling' spirit is of the devil and James tells us to shun it, run from it. Stay holy amd set apart. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
