I Will Praise Him


I will praise the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. I will boast in the Lord ; the humble will hear and be glad. Proclaim Yahweh’s greatness with me; let us exalt His name together.

It is good to praise the Lord! It is good to seek the Lord! Today is the Lord's day and I am excited that I can go to church and praise the Lord with my church family. Living life without God, for me is not an option, He is too good!

Yesterday I dug up a huge patch of weeds and as I worked my thoughts turned to a friend who struggles with depression. I had a period in my life where I struggled with this beast and won. However, my friend has been caught in its clutches for a long time and believes the lie about depression being a disease, it's not, it is a life- sapping spirit. I began to think about this friend and knew I could not save him, but I knew One who could. I went to Him, asked Him for my friend's soul to be restored. The Holy Spirit came with His beautiful presence and after I had made my request I began to ask for other souls because I knew I had His ear.

Our God wants to be found by us- it starts with seeking Him, with our whole heart. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
