Not My Strength But His
My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart, my portion forever.
Psalms 73:26 HCSB
We may indeed struggle but God's strength is there for us. In this Psalm the Psalmist is talking about how those who are wicked are fat and unpunished, it seemed. However, when he went into the house of the Lord he had a revelation about the truth. The final end of the arrogant is not good.
You may have these people in your lifr, I do. It galls to suffer their arrogance. However, God alone knows the reason He lets it go so long. I think He wants us to rise above their attitudes and be unaffected by them. As with David, there will come a day, God's day, when all will be revealled.
In other areas of our life we will lack strength. I rememner there were days, on the recent trek in Nepal, when i was rung out. I struggled with bowel upsets and after reaching base camp altitude sickness. To keep going was a struggle. When ivreached the end of me I stepped into Him and completed the trek. He is there for us in all we do, in all areas of our lives. We can trust Him. Amen!
Today i go to see clients on my way to Brisbane. Before I went away to Nepal I had challenges in the markets. I have doscovered this can rock your confidence. Therefore, I must go in His strength, not mine. In all areas He is good. Amen!
