Are You Fearful?


Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.
Isaiah 41:10 HCSB

Have you even woken up with a start and realised you have forgotten something? Suddenly fear grips you. I have experienced this. Yet in it my God whispers to me spirit, "I was there when you did that mistake and allowed you to do it just so I could reveal my goodness to you." When God whispers these types of messages I still struggle with them. In my mind when I stuff up i bear the consequences. Yet my God is offering grace and mercy once again.

You have to know that even in these times God wants to reveal Himself to you, He is so good, all the time, and He wants you to know that. We expect the stick and reprimand, or is that just me? I suppose it depends on your upbringing.

God is offering to strengthen us with His righteousness. How does that work? He is righteous through and through. There is no shadow in Him. He does not make mistakes, that's our bag. We slip up because we are human. However, He is offering us His perfection, His righteousNess, it can be ours. Pretty good eh?

Therefore, even when I slip and fall, He is there for me. Just lie a loving dad. I am blessed! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
