Living Like Royalty
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for His possession, so that you may proclaim the praises of the One who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
1 Peter 2:9 HCSB
Have you ever spent time watching royalty? As I mentioned in a previous post I watched a Netflix series over Christmas called 'The Crown.' These story was about Queen Elizabeth, our current monarch. In the story we see a young girl being groomed to be queen but never expecting it as she had her father King George on the throne. Elizabeth had not.long been married to Phillip and was planning to write to her father about the life they wanted to live. She never sent that letter because her father died from lung cancer. Suddenly life changed for her and for Phillip.
When we become a Christian we become a part of a Royal family. We are to be groomed by the Holy Spirit to rule and reign. Problems arise when we want to live it our way and for ourselves. It will not happen. George's brother Edward was the reigning king but because he wanted to live his own way, he abdicated and left a stuttering brother to be king. It was a nightmare for George and his family.
If we fail to live as royalty we leave our children without example and they then stumble and fall and the problem gets worse. We are here for a purpose and that purpose is to live as children of a heavenly kingdom not like religious nuts but ordained, royal kings and Queens. There are things we just cannot do and say in public. We represent the king of kings. Amen!
A truely free person is free from attitude and hangup and csn shine with God's glory. Amen! Press in to Him and find your destiny as royalty.
