Our Healing

This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do.
Joshua 1:8 HCSB

Applying the word of God as a remedy for all that ails us and comes against us is wise, rather than running to the latest guru.social Media is awash with remedies for all that ails us. We could spend all our money on chasing such remedies but what does the word of God say about our predicament?

Recently I heard a message by Bill Johnson on how he came through cancer and a bowel operation last year. He was very sick and could eat nothing for a time. Daily he took the word of God and it's promises, he listened to worship music and took communion when able. He told how he trained his children to know the weapons available to them: the word of God; the blood of the lamb; worship and a good confession. These weapons are more powerful than any other. Let us get to know the word of God and the power it holds.

The word is living and active. It goes deep within. It is able to touch anything that presents itself against us. Jesus told us in John 15: if you abide in Me and I in You you can ask anything and it will be done for you. It would be better for us to abide in Him and His word than spend hundreds on pills made to make us poor.

I heard an interesting saying: why do the drug companies make all the pills they do? To make us well? No! To take our money. Be wise with God's wisdom and not man's. Amen!
