Rage and Shouting

All bitterness, anger and wrath, shouting and slander must be removed from you, along with all malice. And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.
Ephesians 4:31‭-‬32 HCSB

In this chapter Paul reminds us not to live as the Gentiles live, in the futility of their minds (v17). Anger is foment ed in the mind. We are infected with an offensive thought by someone's words or actions, often we misunderstand. Suddenly rage comes, 'how dare they.' Is this any different that the non-Christian? No! We are also told: ' be angry but do not sin!' This.indicates we will all get angry at times but we need to take it to the Lord and not dwell upon it.

On Monday I said I woke knowing I had conflict but also was hearing a song in my head. I chose to play that song rather than the offence amd even want so far as to put on worship music. I received an apology, for which I was grateful. The problem dissolved in worship and looking upon the Lord, not in beating it around in my mind.

Letting a problem getting to shouting and slander us not good. A very hard place to return from, full of roadblocks and traps of the enemy. Don't go there! Seek the Lord's counsel first. Amen! The above scripture tells us to go to forgiveness. You cannot go there if you are caught in offense. My having the mind go Christ you will win. Obviously Christ did not dwell upon offence but instead His Father. Offence is a trap, stay away! Amen!
