I am Unique


For it was You who created my inward parts; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will praise You because I have been remarkably and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, and I know this very well.

I spent so many years rejecting myself. What a slap in God's face! We see our flaws, compare ourselves with others who we deem beautiful and miss out on the enjoyment of being 'fearfully and wonderfully made'. Yes we must look after our bodies but they are but the tent we live in. It is our spirit and soul that must be renewed, daily. Then true beauty from with shines through our earthen vessel. Amen!

My lovely Nepali friends look at me and say: " You are so beautiful!" Irregardless of what I see, they see Christ in me. Praise God! I am grateful for my parents and siblings, my children and grandchildren. We are blessed of God. I am blessed with many good friends as well. Amen!

I love my God for choosing me. I thank Him for creating me. I thank my parents for naming me. I am blessed. The more God works in me the more I am restored and set free to rejoice in who I am thank You Lord!

Take time today to be grateful for who you are and let His light shine! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
