Choosing Life

He will destroy death forever. The Lord God will wipe away the tears from every face and remove His people’s disgrace from the whole earth, for the Lord has spoken. On that day it will be said, “Look, this is our God; we have waited for Him, and He has saved us. This is the Lord ; we have waited for Him. Let us rejoice and be glad in His salvation.”
Isaiah 25:8,9 HCSB

There are two deaths: first the natural and then the spiritual but this second holds more iportance than the first. We can accept we all die physically as we have people around us dying all the time. However, spiritual death is more insidious, our choices regarding the source of eternal life determine this one. If we choose the door, Christ, then when we experience physical death we walk through into eternal life; however if we refuse Christ as the door then we walk though into eternal death; for all eternity will will die but not die completely, we will suffer all manner of ills but not die completely.

Eternal life has no end, neither does eternal death. Eternal Death is living without any life. This existence has no good, none whatsoever. There is no reprieve, no joy, no laughter, no purity only filth, hatred and destruction.

Eternal Death was Satan's plan for all mankind but Jesus provided the way out. He was the perfect sacrifice to provide a way of escape. He was the Way. He still is the way, the truth and the life. Amen!

Jesus destroyed the power of eternal death but we must choose life by choosing Him! Choose wisely! Amen!
