Spiritual Worship


Therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, I urge you to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God; this is your spiritual worship.
Romans 12:1 HCSB

We have another therefore! Why is it there? Let's investigate! Well lo! Look what I have found: A HYMN OF PRAISE

Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments and untraceable His ways! For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Or who has ever first given to Him, and has to be repaid? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

Paul is having a moment when the awesomeness of God hit him full force. I am looking for such a moment. I have been hit with the challenges of man. To discover more of the awesomeness of God would be good, life-changing even! Amen!

The 'therefore' is there for a very good reason: being hit by the awesomeness of God, why would you not surrender your all? It is a 'No Brainer!' When we come into His presence we come to understand how good He is. This Easter there is a presence conference in the new Darling Harbour entertainment centre in Sydney Australia. If you have never experience the presence of God, this is a must. When you sit, or stand before Him, you have a reality check: He is solo good! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
