My Value

But I count my life of no value to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of God’s grace.

Paul is not saying he is a worthless worm. He is not saying he is not made in the image of God, but He is saying he knew why he was on earth. He was a minister of the gospel. He burned to share Christ and see souls change.

My purpose is to walk in God's ways and fulfill His calling. It is not to live for myself and feather my own nest.

If we are distracted from the course God has for us then we have lost focus. If the people next door or in our street do not get to see Christ in us then why are we here?

Our bank account, the possessions we accumulate are not the primary focus, God's kingdom is. Are you walking as a Christ follower? Does His light shine in you?

In a world that seeks to bolster self-image to know you are a son or daughter of God is enough. You are royalty. However as a Christ follower we follow a king who lat down His crown to seek and save that which is lost. Amen!
