A Just God
God in His holy dwelling is a father of the fatherless and a champion of widows.
Psalms 68:5 HCSB
This Psalm exalts our God. It starts with:
God arises. His enemies scatter, and those who hate Him flee from His presence. As smoke is blown away, so You blow them away. As wax melts before the fire, so the wicked are destroyed before God.
Psalms 68:1-2 HCSB
The Psalm is full of God's hiding and deliverance of those who trust in Him and the melting and destruction of our enemies. The world is full of injustice and harness. There is no love, except in the heart of our God. In Him is justice and mercy.
Yesterday I had a sudden awareness of a path I should take. I had been a victim of injustice and tried fighting it, to no avail. The Lord showed me to write a letter to the new managing director of the company asking for mercy. I wrote the letter, CC'd in my immediate manager and prayed.
Humbling myself and asking for mercy, laying out my case is a shot in the dark but God knows who He puts in power and I must trust Him. God is good. Amen!
At times I am overwhelmed with the injustice in the world. No-one cares like my God cares. I can go to Him and plead for mercy before Him. His court is higher than man's. He is God after all.
This is what the whole Psalm is about. Only our God is just, truly just. Amen!
