God You are Great

This is why You are great, Lord God . There is no one like You, and there is no God besides You, as all we have heard confirms.

David had wanted to build the Lord a house, as the Ark of the Covenant was housed in a tent but the Lord said "No! Your son will build me a house but I will build you a house."

Do you ever have moments like this when you purpose to bless God and He says "No! I want to bless you!" David was overcome with His smallness. He wants to be a blessing but instead is being blessed. Gratitude pours our of His heart and he is overwhelmed.

The above scripture tells it like it is. God is great because His love for us is far greater than ours for Him. His desire towards us is greater than ours for Him. He is so good!

This is why we worship! He deserves all praise! Amen!
