Faithfulness to The Truth

For I was very glad when some brothers came and testified to your faithfulness to the truth — how you are walking in the truth. I have no greater joy than this: to hear that my children are walking in the truth.
3 John 1:3‭-‬4 HCSB

As a parent I can testify that there is great joy in knowing that your children walk in truth with the Lord. There is such satisfaction in knowing that natural and spiritual children walk in truth before the Lord.

To hear from others about your children is very rewarding. As Christians we have a role to disciple people and bring them through to a truthful walk before the Lord. John was writing this letter to a man named Gaius.

The opposite is also true. It is sad when children walk away from the truth. Our children's walk are a constant purpose of prayer for parents.

We have dual roles: seek and save and disciple. A part of discipline is praying for the continued growth of those we disciple. We cannot ease back and say: " what will be will be!" Rather we need to step into the fray in prayer. Our warfare is effective on our knees. Amen!
