He Paid My Debt

Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Propitiation is a huge word. It basically means payment. He came from heaven to pay a debt we could not pay, once and for all. We are permanently set free from the cost of sin. However, this gift must be accepted by faith for it to be accounted to us as paid.

Most of us have some sort of debt. Some carry larger debt than others. If a stranger turned up and paid all our debt, that would be awesome but for it to be credited to us we would have to accept it.

Accept the payment and the freedom it brings today, with joy! Amen!
