Put On Love, Compassion, Gentleness, Humility

Therefore, God’s chosen ones, holy and loved, put on heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, accepting one another and forgiving one another if anyone has a complaint against another. Just as the Lord has forgiven you, so you must also forgive. Above all, put on love — the perfect bond of unity.
Colossians 3:12‭-‬14 HCSB

Have you got a complaint? First put on love's glasses and look again. What do you see now? Ask the Lord's help.

We live in an age of opinion. We are quick to give an opinion. We value our opinion, often More than love's edict.

Our teachers are now subject to our opinions. We, the unenlightened, judge the enlightened, all because we can. We now have a tool to do this called social media.

Having an opinion does not make us right and the teacher wrong. Yes it is good to enter the fray but it is also dangerous. Do we write with love for one another or our opinion?

How about talking over your opinion with the Lord or a trusted friend first. I knew a man once who used to attack his enemies via email. When possible, I encouraged the man to sleep on his opinion. Give it the sleep test, the love test and the friend test. Is it that important, will it do the receiver good?

Yesterday I watched a teacher attempt to correct an error happening in the media and it got worse. Foolishness abounds!
Do those who write know who are watching? The outside world is Watching your microcosm. Be aware!
