The Lord Remembers the Downtrodden

Hannah prayed: My heart rejoices in the Lord ; my horn is lifted up by the Lord . My mouth boasts over my enemies, because I rejoice in Your salvation. There is no one holy like the Lord . There is no one besides You! And there is no rock like our God.
1 Samuel 2:1‭-‬2 HCSB

Hannah had been in a humble place. She was childless, with a husband she loved. Her husband had a second wife who produced many children and made fun of her, as she was jealous of the love their husband had for Hannah.

Living with constant put down and being made fun of would not have been good. Yet each of us can find this in life. We have an enemy who wants to hold us back from our destiny. Hannah was the mother of the prophet Samuel, a great man of God. Samuel is still remembered, as is Hannah. We do not know the other wife's name or that of her children. She boasted in her ability to produce many children but Hannah produced a mighty man of God.

It is the Lord who vindicates. He restores those who are downtrodden and lifts their faces to Himself. He uses them to produce His purposes. Amen!
