Be Quiet and Watch

But Moses said to the people, “Don’t be afraid. Stand firm and see the Lord ’s salvation He will provide for you today; for the Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you must be quiet.”
Exodus 14:13‭-‬14 HCSB

This ancient text is from the scene where Moses finally makes the Pharaoh agree to let the Israelites go only to have the Pharaoh again change his mind and chase them, only to find them camped by the Red Sea, vulnerable. The people had complained that God and Moses had placed them in this position to kill them, but Moses tells them to be quiet as God has a plan.

God indeed had a plan. He sent a wind to blow all night on the sea and it the morning the water was piled up on either side of a pathway. When the people entered the sea the Egyptians followed only to have the water swallow them up, a permanent reminder to Pharoah that God was indeed God.

This same God comes to us today and says: "I will show your enemy that I am God! Now be quiet and trust Me and watch!"
