Flesh and Spirit


For the mind-set of the flesh is death, but the mind-set of the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind-set of the flesh is hostile to God because it does not submit itself to God’s law, for it is unable to do so. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Romans 8:6‭-‬8 HCSB

What is a freshly mindset? Me, me, me, mine; I want;I can't get; poor me; how can I get etc!!

What is a mind set on the Spirit like? What can I do for You today Lord? How do you want me you treat this situation? How can I be a blessing today Lord? I worship you Lord, You are good, so good!

As I worship the Lord knots untie, doors open, answers come and more importantly peace comes. Here I am looking up! With a freshly mindset I am anxious, fretting, abusive, angry and in trouble. Angry people commit road rage, they kill people and reputations.

As the scripture tells us the flesh cannot submit to God. It lives for itself and despises God.

I have choice which God I will serve. If it is the Lord almighty then I will walk in the Spirit. Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
