He is My Path


The path of the righteous is level; You clear a straight path for the righteous. Yes, Yahweh, we wait for You in the path of Your judgments. Our desire is for Your name and renown. I long for You in the night; yes, my spirit within me diligently seeks You, for when Your judgments are in the land, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness.

The path is level. Our God clears a way. If we just rest, take a breath and wait for Him and not react. Oh dear! I do that at times. Today I was very tired and emotionally drained. I needed time with the Lord, more than usual to gain his perspective. Yet I didn't get it. As a result I was a tad crabby and impatient. Oh how I need to spend time with the Lord!

I am sure we are the ones who make the path difficult because we are so prickly and agitated. I definitely need more time with my Lord. He levels my perspective and keeps me sane.

I long for the Lord and His presence. He satisfies all my needs. He soothes my soul. He fills my spirit with peace. He is better, 10 times better than any food or drink. He is better than any entertainment. He is my rest! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
