He Prepares Us
God is a safe place to hide, ready to help when we need him. We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom, courageous in seastorm and earthquake, Before the rush and roar of oceans, the tremors that shift mountains. Jacob-wrestling God fights for us, God -of-Angel-Armies protects us.
Psalm 46:1-3 MSG
This morning I had the presence of God invade my home. As I sat on the couch to pray I sensed Him right beside me. I had a glorious time. I had great plans to enjoy church and a prayer meeting tonight. However, I went to have shower and as I came out I heard my Mum calling me. I found her on the cold tiles in the bathroom.
I could not get mum up and ran to get neighbour's to help. No-one was around. I began to become anxious and then thought: call an ambulance Di. I did.
I spent all day at the hospital and discovered mum had had a stroke with her left side affected. We will see how this plays out in the coming days.
My Lord was preparing me for what was to come. I am grateful! So grateful!
Already this week God delivered an unexpected outcome and I wondered if He was again doing the same. Praise God NO!
My mum had the best day yesterday. She kept saying what a beautiful day it was and it was. I am so grateful I stayed with her taking her places she wanted to go. For myself I am grateful I listened and slowed down to give her a good day.
