Keep it Cool


Keep a cool head. Stay alert. The Devil is poised to pounce, and would like nothing better than to catch you napping. Keep your guard up. You’re not the only ones plunged into these hard times. It’s the same with Christians all over the world. So keep a firm grip on the faith. The suffering won’t last forever. It won’t be long before this generous God who has great plans for us in Christ—eternal and glorious plans they are!—will have you put together and on your feet for good. He gets the last word; yes, he does.
1 Peter 5:8‭-‬11 MSG

God is still good when testing comes. The key thing is to remain in trusting mode. Where else do you have to go? How can you change things by one small space. You cant! So burrow into God and wait and see what He will do.

The big picture is not one we have privy to. That is God's domain. Mine is to run the race before me. He reveals sections of the big plan to me, piece by piece. I would never have expected my mother to have a stroke yesterday. In some ways I was unprepared. Now a new path is before me.

Because the Lord came to me before hand I know He knew and had a plan. Although we suffer anguish at the time, He still has a plan. Praise Him! Always praise Him! Amen!

Little Things Grow

The boy's mother said to Elisha, "as The Lord lives and you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he got up and followed her. 2 Kings 4:30 The Shunamite woman had travelled to Mt Carmel to find Elisha after the death of her son. Although Elisha had sent his servant Gehazi to the boy with his staff the woman had come to find Elisha and was not leaving without him. I like this lady's spirit. I am sure The Lord God Almighty also valued her heart. She had a heart for God and made room for Him in her world. Now, having lost her son she knew what to do: find Elisha and not let him go until he came to restore her son. What made the Shunamite woman believe that Elisha could raise her son? Was it the same faith that made her provide him a place to stay in her home? I believe it was God working in her life. I am grateful for her faith, I can read and be encouraged.
