Suffering in this Age

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is going to be revealed to us.
Romans 8:18 HCSB

In the previous verse Paul is taking about suffering as Christ suffered. What did He suffer: laying down His comfort and glory to be born into a humble family as an earthling; disbelieve by the Jewish leaders and His own family; flogged; nailed to a cross to save humanity.

What suffering do we endure? Difficulties in life; some are beaten and tortured for their faith; deprivation; ostricization; for some we just to die to our flesh and stop being selfish.

No matter how we suffer we are not alone and more than conquerors through Christ who loves us. He is our glory and the lifter of our heads. Amen!
