A Good Father

So be content with who you are, and don’t put on airs. God’s strong hand is on you; he’ll promote you at the right time. Live carefree before God; he is most careful with you.

To understand a strong hand of the Father we need to look at strong handed parents, not abusers but firm disciplinarians. I watch my son and wife with their 5 children. They are currently in school holidays and have had no technology except for a few family movies. They have played board games and outside games together. They came to visit yesterday and they were the most unboared 5 children I have met in a long time.

Our Father has a strong hand and He does not give us our every whim or wish but He selectively chooses paths that are good for us. Training us is godly behaviour is His intention.

Being content is important. Being supple in the Lords hand is important. We must yield to Him. Amen!
