Ask, Seek, Knock!
For everyone who asks receives, and the one who searches finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
Matthew 7:8 HCSB
As the verse before it, Jesus is telling us: ask, seek and knock. He then goes on the remind us how we, as parents, give good gifts to our children:

Matthew 7:11
Unless we are evil of heart we want to bless our children. Jesus tells us that our heavenly Father is good and wants to bless us. Perhaps we should be as persistent as little children. When they want something they never give up, usually.
It is interesting that Jesus, in the
Next verse says the following:
Therefore, whatever you want others to do for you, do also the same for them — this is the Law and the Prophets.
Matthew 7:12
Receiving is entwined with giving, not extortion but freewill giving. Extortion demands, freewill giving is given out of a thankful heart. Give and or shall be given to you.
