Dont Fuss!

“If you decide for God, living a life of God-worship, it follows that you don’t fuss about what’s on the table at mealtimes or whether the clothes in your closet are in fashion. There is far more to your life than the food you put in your stomach, more to your outer appearance than the clothes you hang on your body. Look at the birds, free and unfettered, not tied down to a job description, careless in the care of God. And you count far more to him than birds.

Jesus taught that if our eye is pure and full of light, our whole body is full of light. If we train our eye, our ear and our thoughts to be focused on God's point of view, then we live free from the cares of this world. We will no longer choose a mate or a job based on what it will add to the bank account but rather we will seek God's word which teaches there is more, there are deeper matters like being equal in heart, soul and mind.

All those we surround ourselves with impact on our behaviour. Good company encourages us to stay pure; bad company encourages us to lose our morals.

Offence causes us to break out against sound judgement and in so doing we lose our way and our God. Rather than carrying offence we should forgive and choose the higher way of grace and mercy. Amen!
