Glorifying God
If you remain in Me and My words remain in you, ask whatever you want and it will be done for you. My Father is glorified by this: that you produce much fruit and prove to be My disciples.
John 15:7-8 HCSB
Remaining at rest when turmoil surrounds you is something Jesus did well and He is teaching those who come to Him to do. Just as Jesus slept in the boat in the middle of the storm so can we and just as Jesus rebuked the storm, so can we.
His words must remain in us, fear cannot take their place. His words must displace fear. Jesus also told us not to fear but in prayer and supplication make our requests known to God.... and the peace which passes understanding will be ours.
Prayer and supplication must replace complaining and self-pity. No room for self here. Amen!
Do you want to walk in miracles? Then this is the criteria.
How did Jesus do it? He spent time, lots of time with the Father. Then the Father was glorified by the miracles that followed. We are here to glorify God, not ourselves. Amen!
